Problem

When trying to connect to Snowflake, it fails with the “CURLerror 'SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK” error like below.

Solution

Please contact your IT dept/network team and bypass the following:

  1. The Snowflake endpoints found through SYSTEM$ALLOWLIST() and/or SYSTEM$ALLOWLIST_PRIVATELINK() for your SSL proxy.

If the issue still exists, then in addition to the above step

  1. Bypass the S3 bucket URL [the ones that are seen in the error stack of the error thrown ].
