If you encounter the error “CONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:6312” while using the desktop, it is likely that Exploratory Desktop failed to access R, which it uses internally.

Close Exploratory Desktop
Completely exit the currently running Exploratory Desktop. -
Terminate RServe processes
Follow the steps in this community post to terminate all RServe processes running on your system. -
Restart Exploratory Desktop
