If you have many unique values in a column for Repeat By and “Fit” option is on, the chart rendering may fail because it fails to fit many charts in a view area.
You can uncheck the “Fit” checkbox to solve the problem.
If you are using older Exploratory Desktop, you can uncheck the “Fit All Charts in View Area” option in the Repeat By property dialog.
