Scheduling fails due to the “Step <Step Name> : Error : Failed to connect: Can't connect to <Database Name> server” error

If your previously working schedule starts failing with the error Step <Step Name> : Error : Failed to connect: Can't connect to <Database Name> server, it’s likely due to a database connection issue.

Check and fix the database settings. Once resolved, use “Run Immediately” from the Scheduling dialog to verify the fix.

If you need to connect to a different database, open Exploratory Desktop, update the data source settings, and republish the content.
