If you see the error “Cannot open the connection” while previewing a Dashboard or Note, please check the following.
- Check the repository folder exists. Usually, the repository folder is under your home directory with the name
.exploratory
. If you don’t see it, you can restart Exploratory to specify the repository location or setup a new repository. - Check that the repository folder and subfolders are writable. You can try creating an empty folder or file to check it.
- Check that you have disk space. If it is full, please free up the disk space.
Once you check them out, restart Exploratory and try it again.
