When logging in or publishing content from the Exploratory Desktop to the Exploratory Server (On-Premise), you may encounter an error such as “Error: self-signed certificate,”.
This issue might be due to a problem with the SSL root certificate installed on your computer for the On-Premise server. On Windows, use the “certmgr” application, and on macOS, use the “Keychain Access” application to update the root certificate by following these steps:
- Delete the root certificate registered for the On-Premise server. If there are multiple certificates, delete all of them.
- Obtain and install the latest root certificate currently used by the On-Premise server.
- Once the root certificate update is complete, restart Exploratory Desktop and try logging in again.
