Error dialog with a message "Assertion failed! Expression: new_time >= loop->time" at starting up

If you see an error dialog that looks like the following at starting up Exploratory Desktop on Windows, please read on.

This error can happen if the system clock is off. Please try syncing the system clock on Windows and restarting Exploratory.
